Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mandeville is seeking a Co-Director of Evangelization, Engagement, and Adult Formation. The Co-Director works collaboratively with a counterpart to lead and oversee the parish's efforts to share the Christian faith and bring new people into the church community. The role involves developing and implementing evangelism strategies, training parishioners in evangelism, and fostering a culture of outreach and mission. Responsibilities

Foster conversion and growth in discipleship formation among the faithful; Develop and implement evangelism strategies, a coherent discipleship pathway, systematic lay formation, and gift discernment; Engage and accompany parishioners on the journey of becoming intentional, activated disciples; Equip parishioners with skills and knowledge to share their faith effectively; Cultivate a church culture where evangelism is a vital part of every parishioner\'s life and ministry; Implement and support adult faith formation (catechetical) programs/ministries; Foster adult discipleship groups and small Christian communities; Animate and equip parishioners to evangelize by witness, word, and action; Implement new initiatives to foster personal encounters with Jesus Christ; Form small Christian communities; Equip parishioners to become missionary disciples. Ministerial Character and Job Summary

The Pastor is the visible principle and foundation of unity in the parish. The Co-Director will assist the Pastor in extending ministry and will collaborate with clerics, religious, and laypeople as needed. The role supports the parish mission, working closely with the Pastor and volunteers to administer evangelization and catechetical programs for all adults. The Co-Directors are pastoral team members charged with forming the parish in the Catholic faith, developing and administering evangelization and catechetical programs for all adults, and coordinating efforts with the pastor, pastoral team, and parishioner leaders to create opportunities to encounter Jesus Christ and grow as disciples. Essential Duties

Foster a warm, Christ-centered welcome for all visitors and practice Radical Hospitality. Be attentive to those served and collaborate with staff in a mission-first, relationship-centered approach. Improve systems and processes in a spirit of Innovative Excellence to meet parish needs. Collaborate across departments with humility and openness. Uphold Catholic Church teachings and parish mission in professional and personal life. Model Gospel values and continuously grow in ministry formation. Identify and implement programs to teach, form, and inspire parishioners to become missionary disciples. Engage resources and volunteers to support Evangelization, Engagement, and Adult Formation activities. Connect parishioners with staff and lay leaders based on formation needs and goals. Collaborate with the Director of Communications and Media to promote programs and ensure accurate information. Ensure compliance with Archdiocese policies and Safe Environment protocols. Participate in parish staff and diocesan meetings and trainings; maintain a workable schedule. Responsibilities by Director Area

Director of Evangelization : Plan and implement strategies to reach active, inactive, and unchurched individuals; recruit and train volunteers; develop a Discipleship Pathway; coordinate programs (Kerygmatic Presentations, Retreats, Small Groups, Alpha, etc.); form missionary disciples and lay formation; collaborate with related ministries. Director of Engagement : Create pathways for connection and growth; identify gifts and place volunteers; invite people along the discipleship pathway toward encounter, conversion, and ongoing service. Director of Adult Formation : Lead goals and strategies for adult formation; oversee OCI process for catechumens; plan annual adult programming; evaluate programs for effectiveness. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of the structure and basic teachings of the Roman Catholic Church; knowledge of catechesis and evangelization ministry. Strong oral and written communication; ability to build and manage teams and resources with integrity; effective with Word, spreadsheets, and databases. Ability to collaborate with staff, clergy, and laity; maintain confidentiality; manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in theology, religious education, pastoral ministry, or related field preferred; Experience in pastoral ministry preferred; Must be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church. How to Apply
