The company\'s SuperSwitch is an ultra-low power consumption, high radix, compact chip-scale design, offering hyperscale data centers enhanced performance, efficiency, and scalability. Job Overview

As a Lead Reliability Engineer at nEye, you will have primary responsibility for working with the development team to design low FIT rate products, develop lifetime models with supporting data, and qualify products to industry standards. This role involves both technical execution and leadership responsibilities, with management responsibilities of sub-contracted reliability work and internal reliability engineers. You will lead the development and execution of reliability strategies for cutting-edge photonic and MEMs systems, ensuring long-term performance and robustness in demanding telecom environments. You will work closely with nEye Si Photonics designers, Electronics and Software Engineers, Packaging Engineers and MEMS/Process Engineers to design for reliability and low FIT rates. This role spans from analytical work in understanding how to model failures modes through to managing the practical qualification testing and qualification report release. You will develop the eventual reliability team size and structure in conjunction with nEye Engineering Management. Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with design and process engineering teams to ensure reliability is understood and embedded in the product development lifecycle Define and implement reliability test plans for MEMS, silicon photonic devices and associated electronics in accordance with telecom standards Develop and execute accelerated life testing protocols to predict product lifetime and identify failure mechanisms Manage reliability qualification programs and ensure timely delivery of results and reports Manage both internal and outside resources to accomplish the lifetime and qualification testing Analyze reliability data using statistical tools and present findings to cross-functional teams and stakeholders Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for field and qualification failures Maintain documentation of reliability procedures, test results, and failure analysis reports Interface with customers and partners to communicate reliability methodologies and performance Minimum Qualifications

Masters or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field 7+ years of experience in Reliability Engineering, with at least 3 years in MEMS and/or Silicon Photonics Deep understanding of failure mechanisms in photonic and MEMS devices Experience with telecom industry standards Proficiency in reliability testing methodologies Expertise in developing lifetime models and FIT rate calculations Expertise and practice with FMEA, DFMEA, and root cause analysis methodologies Demonstrated ability to solve complex reliability programs Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and technical documentation skills Preferred Skills

Familiarity with optical packaging and fiber alignment techniques Familiarity with electronic package design and interactions between IC design and package layout Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes and cleanroom practices Familiarity with statistical reliability modeling with multiple activation energies Experience finding reliability testing resources to successfully contract work as needed Experience with optical and electrical measurement techniques to determine aging changes Benefits & Perks
