As a tutor on the platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home. Responsibilities
1-on-1 Online Tutoring - Provide personalized instruction to individual students. Instant Tutoring - Accept on-demand tutoring requests whenever you’re available. What We Look For In a Tutor
Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style. Expertise in HESI and the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Priority given to those with tutoring experience, teaching experience, and graduate-level education. Compensation and Scheduling
Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects. You can earn up to $40/hour with continued work with the same student. Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions and invoicing. Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like. Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform—no commuting required. Get matched with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise. AI-powered Tutor Copilot provides real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to save prep time. We handle the logistics—you invoice for sessions, and payments are taken care of by Varsity Tutors. About Varsity Tutors
