We are seeking a

Senior Staff or Principal Electrical Engineer

to join our client's rapidly growing medical device development team. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of taking complex electromechanical or embedded systems from concept through commercialization. Location

Houston, TX Area (Relocation Assistance Available) Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and verification of electrical systems for Class II and III medical devices and life-science technologies. Architect and implement circuit-level designs, including analog, digital, power supply, and mixed-signal systems. Oversee PCB design, schematic capture, layout, and design for manufacturability/testability. Drive system integration efforts across electrical, mechanical, and software engineering disciplines. Lead design reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers. Ensure compliance with relevant medical device regulations and standards (e.g., IEC 60601, ISO 13485, FDA). Partner with clients to understand requirements, define specifications, and deliver innovative, reliable solutions. Support verification, validation, and transfer to manufacturing. Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering design, with

direct experience in the medical device industry

(implantable, wearable, or therapeutic devices strongly preferred). Expertise in mixed-signal circuit design, power management, and high-reliability systems. Hands-on experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD) and hardware debugging equipment (oscilloscopes, analyzers, etc.). Deep knowledge of regulatory and safety standards for medical devices. Strong systems-level thinking and ability to balance innovation with compliance and risk management. Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and client-facing communication skills. Preferred Experience

Background in implantable or neuromodulation devices. Familiarity with embedded systems and firmware/hardware co-design. Experience interfacing with FDA submissions, DHF documentation, and design control processes. Why Join?
