Electrical Engineer- Signal and Power Integrity Location
San Jose, CA Responsibilities
Design and implement high-speed signal and power integrity solutions for semiconductor test systems and components. Analyze and validate SI/PI across packages, sockets, PCBA, and cables; conduct integration testing and prototype evaluation. Develop and manage test specifications, present results and designs to senior staff and customers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define specifications, select suppliers, and drive project completion. Mentor junior staff, identify risks and optimizations, and contribute to patent applications and technical innovations. Must Have
BS in Electrical Engineering (MS preferred) with 10+ years (BS) or 7+ years (MS) experience. Expert in high-speed signal and power integrity design at PCB, package, and system level. Proficient with channel simulation tools (ADS, HFSS, CST), S-parameter modeling, SERDES, and high-speed serial protocols (e.g., PCIe). Skilled in lab instruments (oscilloscope, VNA, TDR, spectrum analyzer, protocol analyzers) and PCB construction/materials. Strong teamwork, communication, analysis, and multitasking abilities; able to travel as needed. Experience with photonics and optical signaling Experience with designing, certifying, and deploying semiconductor capital equipment. Ability to work in cross-functional teams building complex test systems. Software skills, including experiment instrumentation and execution (meters, power supplies). Ability to read, write, and speak Japanese Seniority level
