Public Relations & Analytic s Relations Manager Base pay range: $120,000 - $125,000/yr

This role is a critical individual contributor position within UpGuard's marketing team, reporting directly to the VP of Brand. You will be instrumental in shaping UpGuard's external narrative and market perception by cultivating strong relationships with key media outlets, industry analysts, and influencers.

Overview This role focuses on leading media relations, building analyst and influencer partnerships, driving content collaborations, and ensuring consistent, high-impact messaging across external audiences to amplify UpGuard’s brand and thought leadership in cybersecurity.

What you will do

Lead Media Relations: Develop and execute a comprehensive public relations strategy to secure consistent, high-impact media coverage in top-tier industry and business publications.

Build Analyst & Influencer Partnerships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key industry analysts and influential thought leaders to establish UpGuard as a leader in cybersecurity and drive content collaborations.

Drive Content Collaborations: Identify opportunities for content partnerships with media, analysts, and influencers, facilitating the creation of joint reports, webinars, articles, and other valuable assets.

Manage Press Engagements: Coordinate and prepare spokespersons for media interviews, press briefings, and industry events, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging.

Monitor & Analyze Coverage: Track, analyze, and report on PR and analyst relations performance, using data to refine strategies and maximize impact.

Develop Messaging & Materials: Collaborate with Product Marketing and Content teams to develop compelling press releases, media kits, briefing documents, and other materials that resonate with target audiences.

What you will bring

Proven PR Expertise: 5+ years in public relations with a strong track record of earned media placements in technology and business media outlets, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment.

Analyst Relations Experience: Success in building and maintaining relationships with industry analysts (e.g., Gartner, Forrester) and influential figures in technology.

Content Partnership Acumen: Ability to identify, secure, and manage content partnerships with external parties, including media, analysts, and influencers.

Highly Proactive & Autonomous: Self-starter who can manage multiple projects independently, prioritize effectively, and drive initiatives from conception to completion with minimal oversight.

Strong Relationship Builder: Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust-based connections internally and externally.

Exceptional Communication: Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail and storytelling ability.

Knowledge of cybersecurity or strong interest is preferred but not required.
