Overview
Adenza Axiom Senior Staff Engineer. The Axiom Senior Staff Engineer role will be required to work independently on analyzing and implementing changes to our Axiom Regulatory Reporting system, based on the business and project specification. This includes data analysis, development, and/or adapt reports on AXIOM Controller View v10. Ideal candidate is expected to have solid experience in rolling out multiple Regulatory solutions using Adenza software with broad expertise in developing and/or deploying needed integrations in coordination with vendors, technicians, clients, business owners, developers, testers, and management. The candidate must be proficient in Oracle and PL/SQL programming with strong design and analysis skills to ensure the deliverables are comprehensive and intuitive. Hands-on experiences on US Regulatory Reports across all Axiom objects (Data sources, Data models, Shorthand, portfolios, Aggregations, Freeform/Tabular Report, and workflow). Assist in end-to-end testing and report validations. Experience in designing, implementing solutions with Axiom scripting language. Administering and setting up permissions and groups. Reviewing and optimizing existing code within a BAU setting. Working with Agile development methodologies to consistently deliver quality code in a timely manner and implementing scalable and reliable business solutions in line with Comerica standards.
Position Responsibilities
Design & Methodology
– Work closely with business units, application teams, infrastructure areas and vendors to identify, review and evaluate the solution requirements; investigate and propose strategic fits for virtualization, consolidation and rationalization solution opportunities; propose changes to the technical design solutions as applicable; evaluate and align strategic fit solutions across platforms and solutions specific to system hardware and software technologies; understand, participate, review and influence long term capacity planning and technology investments.
Technical Consulting
– Provide client consulting and planning guidance for moderate to complex projects; collaborate with other functional infrastructure areas and departments on multiple initiatives to meet organizational goals; participate in and provide consulting to project teams on architectural, design development, and integration opportunities.
Planning & Organizing
– Map requirements into standard services solutions, identify opportunities for integrating with existing or reusable technology and provide cost-effective solutions for moderate to large, highly complex projects/programs/initiatives; review, identify and manage requirements for moderate to complex solutions and perform cost value, feasibility and risk analysis.
Risk Management
– Review, participate, develop and update architectural standards, guiding principles, rationales and strategies; evaluate, review and approve highly complex design solutions for business and infrastructure projects or programs.
Administration
– Keep management informed of status of activities through accurate, timely reporting; actively participate in committees representing the department or planning unit.
Position Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Engineering or a Technology-related field, or equivalent through education/experience, or 12 years of technology experience.
6 years of experience identifying technical solutions for complex business problems, assessing benefits and risks, and providing recommendations.
5 years of Technology Experience.
