Job Description KPFF Seattle's Transportation Team focuses on designing infrastructure that moves people and connects communities across the region. We work on a wide range of transit and transportation projects, including roadway and trail improvements, fish passage enhancements, and major infrastructure efforts throughout the Puget Sound and Pacific Northwest. Our team supports projects from early planning and feasibility through design, permitting, and construction. We collaborate closely with public agencies, transit authorities, contractors, and fellow engineers to deliver thoughtful, sustainable solutions that improve mobility, restore natural systems, and strengthen the built environment.
Responsibilities
Plan and implement community transforming projects from roadways, transit facilities, regional trails, and bicycle/pedestrian improvements.
Design final construction documents as the prime consultant.
Engage with clients to define and achieve a successful outcome.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of 7 years of civil engineering experience
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
PE in Washington State or the ability to get reciprocity
AutoCAD, Civil3D and other engineering design software proficiency is required; MicroStation is a plus
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
Leadership aptitude
Task or project management experience preferred
Additional Information Physical Demands:
Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table
Occasionally may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs
Occasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain
Traveling to project sites or client meetings, which may involve driving or flying
Compensation & Benefits Senior Roadway/Civil Engineer (Finance)
The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate is
$115,000 - $150,000 annually .
Additionally, we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center. During the interview process, we'll provide detailed information and address any questions you may have about the overall compensation package and benefits.
