Overview

Power Transformer Engineer – Relocate to Saudi Arabia. The role is with Aramco and requires relocation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Serve as Subject Matter Expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations. Perform Root Cause Analysis on critical equipment failures. Review power transformers maintenance programs to identify improvements for safe and reliable HV asset operation. Provide technical consultation to maintenance agencies on critical spare parts lists. Assess the condition of aging power transformers and troubleshoot failures, repairs, and service-condition compatibility. Offer onsite technical support for critical power transformers and provide engineering input for power transformer work packages to meet Aramco standards and material specs. Represent the organization in industry groups and stay familiar with international standards; review and update company standards. Possess strong technical training, communication, and customer service skills. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. Advanced degree and Professional Engineering certificates (e.g., chartership or PE) are a plus. Minimum of 8 years in power transformer operation and maintenance, with experience in transformer design and related fields. Demonstrated experience as a transformer specialist (e.g., presentations at international conferences or employment with a leading transformer manufacturer). Deep technical knowledge of transformer construction and design practices for distribution and transmission transformers, including diagnostic testing, aging characteristics, and corrosion symptoms. Familiarity with Transformer Factory Acceptance Tests and compliance with manufacturing standards such as IEC. Participation in relevant CIGRE Working Groups is a plus. Ability to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities, and proactively seek improvements contributing to safety, efficiency, and profitability. Working environment
