Job Description The

Manager, Pricing & Valuation

will have primary responsibility for complex security financial modeling, including review of models performed by third-party valuation vendors, for Virtus’ registered products (mutual funds, ETFs, and UCITS/QIFs). The role is part of the Pricing & Valuation team of Virtus Fund Services, ensuring valuations are complete and accurate in daily NAVs and assisting in the design and implementation of the valuation control structure under the Investment Company Act of 1940.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Work with third-party pricing vendors and sub-advisors to create valuation models for complex instruments not listed on an exchange used in daily fund NAVs.

Document and test pricing vendor methodologies; monitor, test, and report changes in those methodologies as required by SEC Rule 2a-5.

Report to and interact with fund Treasurers, the Valuation Committee, and the Board of Directors regarding complex valuations including derivatives.

Assist with onboarding new products or security types affecting daily valuation and regulatory considerations.

Assist in designing and implementing the valuation control structure for mutual funds, ETF, UCITS, and QIFs under the Investment Company Act of 1940.

Ideal Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; experience with private equity or private credit products is preferred.

Experience with private securities valuation modeling is preferred.

Knowledge of the mutual fund industry, regulatory environment, vendors, complex investments such as derivatives, and impacts on pricing and valuation.

Ability to multi-task and handle complex items under tight deadlines.

Experience with SQL, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word.

The salary range is $100,000 to $123,000. The starting salary offer will vary based on education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position is eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan.
