Treasury Officer, Funding (Based in Beijing, China) The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is a multilateral development bank focused on Financing Infrastructure for Tomorrow in Asia and beyond, with sustainability at its core. AIIB began operations in Beijing in 2016 and has grown to 110 approved members worldwide, capitalized at USD100 billion and AAA-rated by major rating agencies. We invest in infrastructure that is green, technology-enabled, and promotes regional connectivity. The Treasury Officer, Funding will perform activities related to the Treasury function's tactical management of AIIB’s balance sheet. The role focuses on preparing, executing, and documenting the Bank’s borrowings in international and local currencies, investor marketing activities, and related derivatives transactions. The officer may also contribute to other Treasury activities as required. Responsibilities
Actively participate in the analysis and execution of borrowing and liability management as well as associated derivatives to achieve AIIB’s authorized borrowing program. Participate in daily correspondence, meetings, and discussions with Bank intermediaries to facilitate AIIB’s funding operations. Support the Head of Funding in investor marketing activities, including maintenance of the investor database, roadshow planning and follow-up, event planning, and social media content creation. Recommend and present transactions for execution to the Head of Funding through discussions to ensure proper review and alignment with AIIB’s objectives. Enter deal data into treasury systems and maintain data required for reporting, such as the Funding dashboard. Monitor and maintain call schedules for all transactions with optionality. Support the production of the Bank’s Impact Report by assembling and reviewing metrics; stay current on ESG-related reporting standards. Maintain internal controls within the approved environment. Contribute to improving the Treasury function’s effectiveness by leveraging technology, promoting automation, and defining best-in-class processes and procedures, including treasury systems implementation and upgrades. Perform ad-hoc treasury tasks as needed. Requirements
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a relevant field, with at least three years on an international funding desk. Master’s degree, preferably in finance or business, or equivalent work experience. Proactive, detail-oriented, conscientious, and systematic. Able to adhere to strict deadlines. Team player with good communication skills. Excellent spreadsheet and database skills. Ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with treasury management systems. Fluency in English, both oral and written.
