Position Overview: As the Commercial Development Associate, you will lead the identification of new business opportunities through lead generation and qualification as well as additional tasks, as described below, at the request of the Global VP or Executive Director, Commercial Development Advanced Therapies. As the Commercial Development Associate, you will lead the identification of new business opportunities through lead generation and qualification, as described below, at the request of the Global VP or Executive Director, Commercial Development Advanced Therapies. This is a remote role supporting sites in the United States and providing some support to sites in Europe. Major Activities and Responsibilities Lead generation and qualification for various opportunities
Research and source new opportunities through inbound lead qualification/follow-up, outbound cold calling/email outreach, and marketing campaigns
Meet monthly lead qualification targets
Respond to initial client questions/requests for additional information
Route qualified leads to CDMs for development and closure
Expand/maintain database of prospects in Salesforce
Build knowledge of client needs and present service offerings to prospective clients
At the request of the Executive Director, Commercial Development, support marketing and promotional efforts
Campaign design and campaign outreach
Contact new and existing customers regarding upcoming events FUJIFILM Biotechnologies plans to participate
Assist with marketing campaigns for new services
Attend tradeshow or regional professional networking events
Support scheduling meetings at conferences with new and existing clients and ensure timely conference follow-ups
Ensure team data integrity and timely updates for Salesforce, Jaegger, Tier board, and other databases as requested
Participate in sales team meetings, customer visits, and other regular company meetings
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Technical Support, Business Development, Marketing, Program Management) and other stakeholders on lead generation and related activities
Maintain professional and positive client relationships during the sales cycle
Maintain knowledge of industry and company news within the team’s region
Background Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or science
Minimum two years of experience in Advanced Therapies, Cell Therapies, or Cell and Gene Therapy drug development and/or contract manufacturing/testing organizations or related academic or industry roles
Experience in a business/sales role is preferred
Excellent technical writing skills
Ability to work in a team-oriented, entrepreneurial environment
Strong presentation and customer-interaction skills
Good understanding of the biologics drug development market
The US salary range for this position is $69,000 to $108,000. Pay varies by location and experience. FUJIFILM Biotechnologies US handles data subject to U.S. export laws and regulations.
