We’re seeking a Chief Estimator to lead preconstruction efforts on complex and high-profile electrical construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional who excels at turning scope into strategy, numbers into confidence, and estimates into successful projects. Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate electrical estimates for large-scale commercial and industrial projects Develop conceptual and preconstruction budgets, labor estimates, and bid strategies Oversee the preparation of project-specific checklists, submittals, and preliminary billing schedules Analyze drawings, specs, and scope documents to determine key cost drivers and risks Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids for completeness, competitiveness, and compliance Leverage estimation software and data to forecast labor and material costs Conduct risk assessments and value engineering to ensure competitive, profitable bids Present estimates and cost strategies to executive leadership and clients Maintain and grow relationships with vendors, subcontractors, engineers, and field teams Collaborate with project managers to support handoffs, schedules, manpower planning, and change orders Mentor junior estimators and continuously improve department processes and accuracy Qualifications
7–10 years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably on large commercial or mission-critical projects Proven leadership experience managing estimating teams and overseeing multiple bids simultaneously Deep understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and industry best practices Proficiency in estimating software (Accubid, Bluebeam, Trimble, or equivalent) and Excel Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a focus on detail and accuracy Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) CPE (Certified Professional Estimator) certification is a plus Why Join Us
