Chief Financial Officer - University of Alabama Health Services Foundation (UAHSF)
Location: Birmingham, AL
To be responsible for accounting/financial reporting, corporate finance, and financial management information systems functions for the University of Alabama Health Services Foundation (UAHSF). To provide executive leadership and the management of financial resources to ensure achievement of business plans and objectives, and to preserve the assets and financial standing of the UAHSF.
Responsibilities
Oversee accounting/financial reporting, corporate finance, and financial management information systems for UAHSF.
Provide executive leadership and management of financial resources to achieve business plans and objectives.
Preserve the assets and financial standing of the UAHSF.
Qualifications Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field and ten (10) years experience with healthcare financial management, five (5) years of which must be in a senior level in a university or teaching hospital/physician practice plan environment required.
Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
Work experience may NOT be substituted for the education requirement.
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Manager (CFM) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation required.

Must be self-directed / self-motivated; must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform a variety of duties, manage multiple tasks, and stay composed under pressure.
Ability to work independently and maintain patient confidentiality; demonstrate empathy and teamwork.
Effective communication with diverse audiences; adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Ability to handle emergency, critical, unusual or dangerous situations; maintain ethical standards and customer focus.
