Position Summary
Temporary Events & Special Projects Lead to support in the planning and execution of in-store and community events ranging from curated art shows to multi-vendor markets. This role is both strategic and tactical: contribute to event concepting and design, manage vendor relationships, and oversee on-the-ground execution in collaboration with facility staff and the creative team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and resourceful, comfortable toggling between spreadsheets, communicating with external partners, and managing day-of on-the-ground logistics. Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Design: Collaborate with the creative, marketing, and showroom teams to brainstorm and develop event concepts that align with our brand and audience, including a series of pop ups in the San Francisco space. Partner with the creative team to brief and define the scope of design assets: banners, signage, and other event collateral. Event Planning: Build and maintain end-to-end event production timelines, budgets, and run-of-show documents. Oversee the management of event timelines to ensure cross-functional work is implemented successfully and timely. Day-of-Event Logistics: Coordinate with facility staff and vendors on load-in, setup, breakdown, and day-of event needs. Anticipate and resolve onsite issues, ensuring smooth guest and vendor experiences. Provide flexible support throughout the event in hands-on capacity. Vendor & Partner Management: Manage relationships with artists, vendors, and other external partners, including contracts, communications, and logistics coordination. Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with the creative team to ensure all assets (signage, banners, digital promos) are delivered on time. Support showroom staff in preparing spaces and managing foot traffic during events. Coordinate with Facility teams to ensure pre- and post-event setup runs smoothly. Post-Event Wrap-up & Metrics: Capture attendee, vendor, and Heath employee feedback post-event. Develop event reports that capture promotional activities, impact, and business outcomes. Ensure continuity for customer experience post-event through touchpoints or tailored actions. Qualifications
4+ years of experience in event coordination, event planning, customer service, or related roles. Prior project management experience preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with experience communicating across varying seniority levels in-house and with external partners. Experience in events, communications, marketing or media; strong attention to detail and follow-ups. Interest in the arts, craft, design, and community building is a plus. Proficiency with Google Suite; knowledge of Asana preferred. Work Environment / Hours / Compensation
This is a temporary, full-time role (30 hours per week) for a period of 6 months. The position is hybrid, with a minimum of 1 day in office (Tuesdays as an anchor in-office day). Office space is available if you’d like to work from it more than once a week. The hourly pay range is $36-$38, depending on experience. Occasional travel to Sausalito and Los Angeles may be required. Only candidates based in the Bay Area will be considered. Benefits
