Our mission is to ensure the seamless operation of AWS’s dedicated cloud regions through proactive reliability engineering, automation, and leading-edge solutions. We seek individuals who bring a deep technical skill set in Development, Operations, Networking, and Systems Engineering, and who understand the Agile mindset and DevOps philosophies. Operate and troubleshoot complex system operations with a focus on operational excellence and customer experience. Understand Linux, networking, and general cloud services knowledge; identify ineffective processes and opportunities to simplify solutions. Recognize operational risks, avoid unnecessary risks, and resolve, mitigate, or escalate concerns in a timely manner. Take a defined set of tasks, execute on schedule, and maintain high availability, performance, and maintainability of systems. Basic Qualifications
High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CNDF/Network+ or Security+. 2+ years of systems administration experience (Linux/Windows or Networking). 2+ years of experience using debugging and systems analysis to identify and resolve issues. Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above. Preferred Qualifications
Excellent troubleshooting skills at all levels (application to network to host). 2+ years of experience with cloud computing, systems administration, DevOps, site reliability engineering, software development, and/or network administration. Experience with at least one scripting or programming language. Experience with the Linux command line interface. In lieu of above, a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
