Overview
This is an On-site, Part-Time position at the YMCA of Greater Seattle. Variable scheduling during Kid Zone hours. Compensation for this role is $20.76/hr. Responsibilities
Supervises a group of children to ensure their health and safety and provide a positive experience for each child. Implements program activities. May be asked to assist in planning activities. Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergency procedures. Professionally engages with parents/guardians to provide pertinent information about their child’s experience and to promote upcoming programs. Ensures that toys and equipment are clean, safe, set up and stored properly. Attends staff meetings and training programs as required. Other duties as assigned. Hours / Schedule
Sammamish Y Kids Zone Hours of Operation: Monday-Thursday: 9:00 am–12:30 pm, 4:30 pm–8:00 pm Friday: 9:00 am–12:30 pm Saturday: 9:00 am–12:30 pm Qualifications
16 years of age or older. Six months or more of previous experience working with children (camps, child care, tutoring, nanny, coaching). Other applicable education, training, and experience to perform effectively will be considered. Ability to model and demonstrate YMCA values: caring, respect, responsibility and honesty. Experience planning and implementing group activities preferred. Preferred Education/Experience
Knowledge of and experience with diverse populations; ability to speak additional languages may be helpful. Benefits / What you’ll get
