Overview
Senior HRIS Administrator (SAP SuccessFactors) at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI). The People Systems team optimizes people-related processes through technology. The Senior HRIS Administrator configures, maintains, ensures usability, stability, data integrity, and optimization of the SAP SuccessFactors platform, focusing on Employee Central, Data Analytics, Compensation, and Onboarding modules, and integrates HR systems with other platforms to support employees and the business.
Responsibilities
Expertly manage, configure, and troubleshoot the SAP SuccessFactors platform and integrated People Systems to ensure optimal performance and stability.
Resolve complex system issues through analysis, diagnosis, and collaboration with stakeholders and vendors.
Implement system enhancements, updates, and new modules based on business requirements and best practices.
Ensure data integrity, system security, and compliance through governance practices.
Identify opportunities for system optimization, process improvements, and enhanced user experience.
Stay current with SAP SuccessFactors releases, features, and industry best practices to maintain functionality.
Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, Accounting, IT, and consultants to provide system guidance, process improvements, and recommendations.
Prioritize user experience and adoption across all supported SuccessFactors modules.
Growth and Professional Development
Deepen technical expertise as a senior subject matter expert for SuccessFactors and related People Systems.
Take on complex system administration challenges, projects, and integrations.
Broaden business acumen by partnering with HR functions and understanding organizational goals.
Mentor and develop less senior administrators and share advanced knowledge.
Contribute to continuous improvement and stability of MTSI’s People Systems landscape.
Gain broader experience with various HR modules and related technologies.
Day-to-Day Engagement
Design, configure, customize, test, and maintain SAP SuccessFactors modules including Employee Central (position management, workflows) and Onboarding (programs, compliance forms).
Develop and execute test plans for changes, patches, upgrades, and integrations to ensure quality and minimize disruptions.
Serve as a primary escalation point for complex system issues and incidents with timely diagnosis and resolution.
Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including guides, SOPs, process flows, and user materials.
Provide advanced system training and support to HR super-users, administrators, and end-users.
Collaborate with technology vendors for support and to understand upcoming features and impacts.
Administrate system security configurations, including RBAC, user provisioning/de-provisioning, and regular audits in line with policy and accounting coordination.
Develop, maintain, and support complex reports, dashboards, and analytics to meet HR requirements.
Manage semi-annual SuccessFactors release updates and patches, including impact analysis and deployment coordination.
Monitor system performance, data integrity, and integration health, addressing issues proactively.
Participate in People Systems projects, gathering requirements, designing solutions, configuring, testing, and supporting deployments.
Ensure adherence to data privacy regulations and internal data management policies.
What You Bring To The Team
5+ years of hands-on experience as a System Administrator for HRIS platforms, including at least 3 years with SAP SuccessFactors.
Deep expertise configuring SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and Onboarding; knowledge of HR data security, RBAC, and compliance.
Proficiency with SuccessFactors tools such as Business Rules Engine, MDF Objects, Reporting/Analytics, and familiarity with Integration Center.
Experience with SuccessFactors implementations or enhancements in core modules (EC, Onboarding, Compensation, Career Marketplace).
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills for complex issues.
Understanding of core HR processes (hire-to-retire, data management, time and absence, onboarding).
Ability to engage and manage diverse stakeholders and drive outcomes.
Experience standardizing and simplifying configurations and processes; experience with external consultants or SAP support.
Strong communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to robust, secure HR systems; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Experience with other HR tools (e.g., ATS like Eightfold or iCIMS, ServiceNow, Cornerstone) is a plus.
Bachelor's Degree in HR, IT, Business, or related field, or relevant work experience.
Professional English fluency; SAP SuccessFactors certifications in Employee Central or Onboarding preferred.
Optional/preferred: Experience with SuccessFactors Compensation, Performance & Goal Management, and/or Succession Planning modules.
