Currently recruiting a ML Engineer position within a burgeoning life sciences business that are leveraging advanced machine learning and LLMs within the biomarker data sphere.
You will be a
Machine Learning Engineer
with expertise in
LLMs
and
bioscience applications (beneficial)
to join their multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and researchers.
Responsibilities
Develop and optimize machine learning and LLM-based models for large-scale biological and biomedical datasets
Fine-tune and adapt LLMs for tasks such as literature mining, protein/gene annotation, clinical text interpretation, and drug-target prediction
Build pipelines that integrate structured data (omics, imaging, EHR) with unstructured data (scientific papers, clinical notes, patents)
Collaborate with domain experts to translate bioscience research challenges into computational solutions
Contribute to scalable, production-ready ML/LLM systems that support both research and product teams
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or related field (PhD a plus)
Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML/LLM frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, etc.)
Experience fine-tuning or adapting LLMs for domain-specific applications
Familiarity with biomedical ontologies, NLP for scientific literature, or clinical text mining is a strong plus
Hands-on experience with biological, biomedical, or clinical datasets preferred
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and MLOps best practices
