About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented EMC Design Engineer with strong experience in electrical engineering and hands-on experience in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) design and testing. This role is ideal for someone passionate about ensuring product compliance and performance across consumer electronics, medical devices, or automotive systems.
Key Responsibilities
Review mechanical designs of enclosures, connectors, and cables for EMC compliance.
Analyze PCB schematics and layouts to optimize emissions and immunity control.
Develop EMC test plans, oversee validation processes, and compile detailed reports.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical sources of EMC failures and propose effective solutions.
Operate and interpret results from lab equipment including ESD guns, surge testers, receivers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers (SAs), VNAs, amplifiers, LISNs, and CDNs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure EMC standards are met throughout the product lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BS EE).
Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in EMC-related roles.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with experience generating technical documentation.
Familiarity with reworking electrical components as small as 01005.
Proficiency in using electromagnetic modeling and simulation tools such as CST, HFSS, ADS, and PowerSI.
Experience with Matlab and scripting for test automation and data analysis is preferred.
Preferred Skills
Hands-on experience with EMC testing in consumer electronics, medical equipment, or automotive systems.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Preference to be in SCV or Austin area. May be remote, significant overlap with SCV/ Austin timezones strongly preferred.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.09 - $78.31/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
