The Senior DDI Network Design Engineer will work within the Network Services Architecture organization, focusing on global design, architecture, standardization, and emerging technologies related to Enterprise DDI solutions and other network-related areas. The engineer will lead and drive the development, sustainability, and operations to support the Network Services Enterprise DDI environment. The role requires industry knowledge in DDI (BlueCat), software-defined infrastructure, cloud strategies (AWS and Azure), data center and WAN technologies, global load balancing, and automation development and workflows. The role will develop reference architectures, support existing standards through a comprehensive review process, and develop standards based upon business requirements. Responsibilities

Establish and Maintain Technical DDI Standards. Interface with other technology towers and vendors. Act as escalation point for critical operational issues. Recommend and oversee implementation of DDI technologies or maintenance of solutions. Recommend and lead efforts in optimization and automation. Improve the environment across operations, deployment, design, and tools. Review and improve DDI network architecture standards and proposed network changes. Design and review scopes of work with internal and external teams including budget aspects. Oversee implementation efforts across the enterprise network, data center, and design to ensure outcomes. Act as Network Team lead (SME) on projects related to Network Services with business partners and other teams. May conduct training and knowledge transfer as required. Participate in technology strategy sessions and direction. Lead and participate in manufacturing and technology team learning. Review security releases and provide guidance to address potential threats (CVEs). Certify and recommend hardware platforms and code versions. Collaborate with IT Security on network security best practices. Conduct root cause analysis for Severity 1 incidents and network outages. Participate in capacity management and planning and help reduce operational costs. Skills And Qualifications

7+ years of proven experience designing, deploying, maintaining, and managing large-scale BlueCat DDI (DNS, DHCP and IPAM), with focus on performance optimization and scalability. Experience with BlueCat including AD and Route 53 integrations. Deep understanding of network architecture with DNS, NTP, IPAM, BIND, and DHCP. IP management including issuance, inventory, tracking, and reporting. Experience architecting, implementing, and configuring the BlueCat OEM platform. Experience in supporting and troubleshooting incidents, escalation bridges, and discovery sessions. Extensive scripting knowledge (Perl, Shell, Python) to automate network tasks and improve efficiency. Experience analyzing DDI logs and reporting. Ability to contribute to enterprise network automation efforts and develop scripts/tools to streamline SDN tasks. Working knowledge of network management and monitoring platforms; experience with switches, routers, load balancers, and firewalls and their interaction with DDI. Experience with Route 53 and BlueCat in cloud environments (AWS, Azure). Networking OS knowledge (e.g., Windows AD, Linux, UNIX). Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills. Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 7+ years of experience in DDI design, engineering, deployment, maintenance, or administration. Proficiency in DDI BlueCat products and DNS/DHCP configuration. Solid understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, and network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP). Familiarity with BlueCat REST API and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and Postman for automating DDI tasks. Familiarity with DNS and DHCP security best practices, including DNSSEC and network segmentation. Experience with domain names and services with third-party providers (Cloudflare). Strong scripting skills (Python, Shell, Perl, Bash, PowerShell) and Ansible for automation; 5+ years of experience. Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across teams and leadership levels. Networking and protocol knowledge and understanding; hands-on experience delivering system design and operational stability. Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $110,000 to $155,000 at commencement. The actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including location, skills, and experience. Eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the applicable incentive plan. Corebridge also offers a range of benefits as part of the total compensation package. Work Location and Travel
