Overview
Boswell Construction Inc has partnered with iHire to reach top talent for their opening. Construction company is seeking experienced Superintendents to join our team. The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all jobsite activities necessary to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards. Construction of homes includes extensive earthworks, concrete, and a keen eye for finish details. PRIOR RESIDENTIAL/CUSTOM HIGH-END/HILLSIDE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. Responsibilities
Oversee all trade and field personnel required to successfully complete the project. Communicate with owners, architects and internal team about field issues; investigate and resolve such issues. Ensure site has proper materials ordered and scheduled inspections as necessary. Create monthly schedules and determine sequencing of work. Manage the overall site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance. Maintain a professional appearance and positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees. Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents and Project Coordinators, including completing performance appraisals. Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience in high-end custom residential construction. Must be able to forecast and monitor costs of project. Must understand construction methods, scheduling and blueprint reading. Ability to work well under pressure and within timelines. Ability to focus on finding solutions rather than simply identifying problems. Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Outlook e-mail; MS Project is a MUST. Proficient in Procore Construction Management software is a plus. Considerable knowledge of all construction tools, machinery methods and procedures. Ability to calculate figures and to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Must demonstrate leadership and strong communication skills. Employment details
