This position is located in Commerce City, Colorado and has a Monday through Friday, 7am - 3:30pm work schedule. Position Overview: As a Material Handler, you will ensure the orderly transport and distribution of pre- and post-production materials. Support organization, documentation and maintenance of inventory and delivery of production materials where needed to assist in meeting customer on-time demand. RESPONSIBILITIES: Verify items and quantities on incoming shipment packing slips and receive against open PO's or ERP system transfers between warehouses. Receive, distribute and store materials in designated, secure locations. Notify and provide the Inspection Team with the first article of inspection for incoming raw materials; review accompanying documents for accuracy and ensure documents are properly filed after acceptance of goods. Ensure correct labels are properly placed on all inbound materials for Warehouse Management System (WMS) software. Follow FIFO [first in, first out] principles to ensure proper use of inventory goods (i.e. sort, stock and cycle inventory). Prepare & verify pallets for transfer to the Logistics Center, properly wrapped, banded and inspected to ensure that there is no damage and that the correct product & quantities are on the pallet labels prior to departure. Enter and confirm transfer details into ERP system, Chempax, (when driver is unavailable) to include special instructions. Communicate urgency of material need and expedite transfers that affect the manufacturing process schedule. Notify Procurement of raw material arrivals and inform Quality upon RGA material arrivals at the warehouse. Verify accuracy of inventory through weekly cycle counts & perform yearly physical inventory. Serve as main contact for the Production Team for material locations. Assist Shipping Team with order fulfillment as needed. Collect and properly dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment. Promote an incident free workplace by complying with safety policies and procedures and participating in company safety trainings.
