Health Insurance Enrollment Specialist
to help individuals and families access affordable health coverage through Pennie, Pennsylvania's health insurance marketplace. You'll provide expert assistance to ensure no one is left behind in navigating the complex world of healthcare coverage.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HEALTH INSURANCE ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST
Guide clients through Pennie enrollment, eligibility determinations, and plan selection. Answer questions and help clients understand costs, subsidies, provider networks, and coverage benefits. Facilitate enrollment-focused events and collaborate with community organizations. Maintain detailed reporting to demonstrate enrollment reach and community impact. Provide culturally competent support to diverse populations across A 10-county region in North & Southwest Pennsylvania. WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Education & Experience:
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in health insurance enrollment through Pennie, MA/CHIP, or similar | Degree in health administration, public health, or healthcare-related field (or equivalent relevant experience) | Expertise in eligibility determination, enrollment processes, and consumer assistance practices
Skills & Abilities:
Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex insurance concepts. Event planning and outreach experience. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a regional team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel). Regular travel required throughout 10-county region Bilingual Spanish/English capabilities Experience working with varied communities and populations

While women's health is a primary focus for the organization, reproductive health, breast & cervical cancer screening, & preventive health services are also offered to men, teens, members of the LGBTQ+ community, & anyone in need of care in a welcoming, confidential setting. AH operates 9 medical offices in western PA that also address social determinants of health such as food insecurity, behavioral health, & care navigation; manages the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) program in 5 PA counties; promotes tobacco/vaping prevention & cessation; oversees breast & cervical cancer screening & treatment programs across PA; & empowers local communities to address nutritional, reproductive, & behavioral health; positive relationship building; & life skills through an array of clinical & education programs.
