JOIN OUR TEAM! ELECTRICIAN POSITION LOCATION: OPELIKA, ALABAMA We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team, responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing electrical systems within our manufacturing facility. Your responsibilities will include: Testing electrical systems and circuits, ensuring safety and functionality. Inspecting electrical equipment to detect hazards or defects for timely repairs. Troubleshooting and upgrading Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). Utilizing electrical control schematics for effective issue resolution. Collaborating with vendors to source necessary parts and relaying recommendations to your Supervisor. Understanding and updating circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics. Programming AC and DC variable speed drivers. Updating power distribution systems, MCC, and switchgears. Installing and diagnosing electrical equipment including variable frequency drives, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Maintaining optimization systems through troubleshooting. What we require: Knowledge of lock-out procedures and safety protocols. Experience with Field Level Hazard Risk Assessments (FLHRA). Strong understanding of electrical circuitry, including circuit breakers and motor theory. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics. Experience in predictive and preventative maintenance practices. Computer literacy and proficiency in PLC programming. Skilled with hand and power tools, including multi-meters; knowledge of 480 volt 3 Phase AC. Availability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and be on-call for 24/7 operations. 4-5 years of relevant Electrician experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting. A High School Diploma or GED is required. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check. Preferred experience includes: Allen Bradley PLC5 and ControlLogix 5000. Allen Bradley Panelviews. Networking with Allen Bradley Communications (Devicenet & Ethernet). Scanning and Optimization systems in the Lumber Business (Porter, USNR).
