About the role

As an Implementation Manager for Application Security and Performance, you will be an individual contributor in the post-sales space, responsible for the technical execution of solutions and guidance to customers to maximize Cloudflare value. You will be an expert in Layer 7 products such as DDoS Protection, WAF, API Gateway, Bot Management, Certificates Manager, Rate Limiting, SSL and Page Shield.

This role follows a Monday to Friday 09:00–18:00 schedule. Some weekend support may be required for changes outside business hours. Travel is expected around 30%.

What you will do

Plan and deliver timely, organized services for customers and help them realize the full value of Cloudflare products, advising on best practices. Gather business and technical requirements to build, migrate and deliver solutions. Produce artifacts such as Solution Design, HLD, LLD, databuilds, procedures, scripts, test plans, deployment and migration plans, and as-builts. Implement changes in the Cloudflare environment following the customer's change management process and guide customers on configuring their CPEs and integration points. Troubleshoot implementation issues and collaborate with Customer Support, Engineering and other teams on escalations. Contribute to the organization through knowledge sharing, internal/external documentation, Q&A, and by helping to iterate on best practices. Support building operational assets like templates, automation scripts, procedures, and workflows.

Experience and skills

8+ years in a customer-facing role (e.g., Customer Engineer, Security Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Onboarding Engineer, Consultant, Technical Support Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Systems Engineer). Knowledge of OSI layers and protocols (TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, HTTP). Deep understanding of Internet and security technologies (DDoS, WAF, Certificates, DNS, CDN, Analytics and Logs). Experience with a scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash) and a desire to expand skills. Experience with security aspects of Internet properties (Firewalls, WAFs, Bot Management, Rate Limiting, (M)TLS). Knowledge of performance aspects (Speed, Latency, Caching, HTTP/2, TLSv1.3). Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform. Project management ability: meeting deadlines, prioritizing, and managing uncertainty. Work performed in English; fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a strong advantage.
