DevOps Engineer, Core Infrastructure Engineering at Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll operates on a hybrid model, 3 days per week in the office. Preference for this role is in San Francisco, with consideration for our Los Angeles office. About the Team
The Core Infrastructure Engineering team builds the foundation for our services, enabling self-service for developers, automation of infrastructure, and reliable, scalable platforms that support high-quality software delivery. About the Role
As a DevOps Engineer within the Core Infrastructure Engineering team, you will automate and scale the systems and services that power our streaming platform. You will work with the SRE and delivery teams on infrastructure automation, scaling, and CICD initiatives, driving projects to completion and ensuring automation and best practices are followed. You will collaborate with other engineers to develop tools and systems that support services and enable high-quality software delivery. You will report to the Senior Manager, Core Infrastructure Engineering. Who You Are
You understand software and DevOps methodologies, automation, and infrastructure as code. You have experience designing, building, and scaling high-availability systems and developer platforms. You excel in a collaborative environment and model high quality and standards for your teammates. Requirements: At least a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. 2+ years of experience in production-level DevOps engineering. Experience in automation with reusable patterns and solutions. Experience with GitOps practices and CI/CD, especially Jenkins and GitHub Actions, including infrastructure automation within CI/CD. Passion for supporting and empowering software development teams. Experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform & Pulumi). Experience in at least one programming language, including TypeScript. Experience managing containerized infrastructure in ECS or Kubernetes. Experience guiding software engineers in production best practices and knowledge sharing across teams. Pluses
Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases (DynamoDB). Knowledge or experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Proficiency in TypeScript. Familiarity with Pulumi. Benefits and Why You Will Love Working Here

The pay range for this position is $105,000 - $135,000 USD and varies by location, experience, and performance. This range is one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards. Our Values
