We seek a highly motivated and experienced Shift Supervisor to lead our team in the efficient and high-quality manufacturing of our diamond wafers. This role is a promotion opportunity for a proven technician who has demonstrated exceptional technical proficiency, leadership potential, and a strong commitment to our company's values. As a Shift Supervisor, you will oversee daily production operations, ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Production Technicians, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and excellence. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a dedication to maintaining a safe and organized work environment by effectively implementing 5S principles.

Responsibilities

Technical Equipment Management: Focuses on monitoring performance, troubleshooting, maintenance, and calibration to ensure optimal equipment function.

Process Optimization: Involves implementing process control, analyzing production data, and leading improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.

Workplace Organization (5S): Emphasizes maintaining a clean and organized workspace through 5S implementation, audits, and record-keeping.

Team Leadership & Development: Covers supervising, training, and providing technical support to production operators, while fostering accountability.

Safety and Regulatory Adherence: Prioritizes enforcing safety regulations, conducting inspections, and documenting incidents to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Demonstrated Production & Technical Proficiency: Proven track record of strong performance as a technician, with a deep understanding of production processes, equipment, and quality standards. This includes consistent adherence to safety protocols and work instructions.

Leadership Potential & Initiative: Evidence of taking initiative, problem-solving independently, and informally leading or assisting team members. This might include mentoring new hires, suggesting process improvements, or taking on extra responsibilities.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments. This includes active listening, clear instruction-giving, and constructively resolving conflicts.

Commitment to 5S & Continuous Improvement: Demonstrated understanding and adherence to 5S principles in their current role and a willingness to participate in and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Reliability & Ownership: Consistent attendance, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility for their work. A demonstrated willingness to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.

$39 - $49 an hour

Manufacturing and Engineering Departments Physical Requirements

Use appropriate PPE and follow all safety policies, practices, and procedures.

This position will often: Sit, stand for long periods, walk, grasp, reach with hands and arms, lift below and above shoulders, bend, twist at the waist, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, talk, hear, see, use fine finger manipulation, and complete repetitive motions.

Some tasks may require the use of ladders or stairs

Some tasks may require driving or the use of foot controls

Lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds
