The MRI Operations Manager is responsible for managing the business and patient care operations of the department. They monitor the operating budget throughout the year and collaborate with the MGB Clinical Director on business plans to introduce and support new clinical programs or technologies. The MRI Operations Manager works with other departments to maintain an environment committed to quality care, patient safety, and customer service by identifying and implementing innovative approaches to improving care. Developing collaborative relationships with other departments and physicians is crucial for supporting and promoting the department's short- and long-term goals. They ensure that written MRI safety procedures, work instructions, emergency procedures, and operating instructions are issued to all MRI staff after full consultation with the MGB MRI Director of Clinical Director and the MGB MRI Service Chief. Additionally, they maintain personnel records of those requiring MRI safety training. Job Summary

Responsible for oversight and management of the radiology department, ensuring smooth operations, effective budget management, and strategic results. The role includes compliance with regulatory standards and education of staff on radiology changes and improvements. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions

Provide operations management, identify operational inefficiencies, improve operational flow, and implement new practices Ensure compliance with patient care quality standards and regulatory requirements Manage clinical staff, staff scheduling, triage duties, and serve as a resource to staff Develop and assess fiscal operating budgets, investigate practices for improvement, and assist in variance reporting Manage clinical activities for students, ensuring they meet curriculum requirements and fostering future employment opportunities within MGB Ensure compliance with all regulatory obligations (federal, state, etc.) and industry trends Qualifications

Education : Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Imaging required or Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials : Basic Life Support required; Magnetic Resonance Imaging [ARRT-MR] required Experience : 5-7 years of radiology/MRI tech experience with multiple patient populations; 2-3 years of leadership experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Strong communication, evaluation, problem-solving, teaching, motivation, and business acumen skills Additional Job Details
