Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

We are currently looking for a
Beef Livestock Audit Lead
to join our team.
Responsibilities
Establish a clear understanding of customer needs and competitive activities; then recommend strategies for FSNS C&A to maintain a competitive advantage in the beef industry.
Performs and manages certification and auditing services for beef livestock facilities as requested by customers, including but not limited to:
USDA PVP approved beef programs
Texas Cattle Feeders Association BQA Program Audit
Animal Welfare Audits/Evaluations
US Cattle Industry Feedyard Audit
Industry and Customer specific audits and addendums
Determine services offered
Assist in financial planning and meeting or exceeding quarterly revenue and operating margin targets
Assist in supervision of livestock auditors to ensure production, quality, and customer service standards are established, monitored, and maintained
Coordinate efforts to demonstrate efficiencies in scheduling, traveling, and providing services
Provide progressive feedback to employees to facilitate individual and professional development; demonstrate progressive coaching and mentoring techniques
Identify and market certification and sale of livestock audit services offered by FSNS C&A
Manage accounts to ensure customer services and expectations are being exceeded by FSNS C&A
Extensive travel 75-100% of the work week
Assist in responsibilities for coordination of seminars and conferences including selection and scheduling of course instructors, course material training sites, etc.
Prepares and conducts presentations
Responsible for professional communication, in all media formats, to customers
Acts as livestock technical representative and industry liaison
Maintain a high degree of technical competence by reading scientific journals, attending professional workshops, and being aware of industry issues and trends
Work on special projects as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities This position has supervisory responsibilities. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with FSNS C&A policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Minimum Qualifications
Six years livestock experience at minimum (farm, facility, industry, auditing, academic involvement, etc.)
BS degree in Animal Science, Animal Welfare or related field; MS preferred
Regulatory knowledge and experience necessary
Experience with applied animal welfare for different livestock types
Business knowledge as it relates to budgeting, labor analysis, and gross profit margins
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to gain required PAACO certifications
Working knowledge of USDA PVP guidelines
Animal welfare/ or animal husbandry exposure required
Hold valid Driver’s License
Must hold passport or have ability to obtain passport
Physical Demands
Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use hands and arms, talk and hear
Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
