Energetics is accepting applications for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Photovoltaics for immediate employment. This is a part-time SME position with expertise in the renewable energy field. The position is remote, with some travel to attend technical meetings. Significant utility, industry, or national laboratory R&D experience is preferred. Leadership experience in an R&D environment is a plus. We are currently recruiting for the following expertise. Other areas of transportation expertise will also be considered. 15+ years of photovoltaics energy expertise Assessment of photovoltaics energy options Photovoltaics system design and grid integration Operations and maintenance of photovoltaics energy systems
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Analysis of trends and technical factors related to photovoltaics energy Evaluation of photovoltaics energy project plans Research and analysis of regulations and policies impacting the development and deployment of photovoltaic technologies Development of studies, reports, and summaries related to renewable energy infrastructure strategies Resource assessment and roadmaps for renewable energy technology deployment
Qualifications & Experience
Requires an advanced degree in an engineering or scientific field Equivalent combination of knowledge and specialized experience may be acceptable in lieu of a degree Candidates must have at least 15 years of relevant experience in the field of photovoltaics energy Candidates should have excellent understanding of renewable energy technologies, the science behind them, and their technical challenges for deployment in today’s market Demonstrated experience in program and project management is a plus
Additional Skills/Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills preferable Excellent communication skills (verbal, interpersonal, and written) Excellent organization and time management skills Ability to excel working on self-managed tasks Ability to work within a diverse team Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities Comfortable multitasking on time-sensitive tasks without diminished quality of work Strong interest in sustainability
Compensation & Benefits
Target Compensation: $60 - $120 / hour Compensation Range Type: Hourly Sponsorship is not available for this position at this time. Successful hires must pass pre-employment checks. Employment Type
