As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability, gaining valuable site experience across various industries while building a schedule that works for you. A Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal helps maintain a secure environment within a commercial real estate location, with responsibilities including regular patrols, high visibility to deter incidents, and exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Flex Pay Rate: $19.54 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Shift — Tue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You’ll Do
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site policies Maintain detailed and accurate logs and/or reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site management to support a secure environment for tenants, employees, and visitors What We’re Looking For
Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred Customer service experience is preferred Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles Possess a high school diploma or equivalent As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only Why Join Us
