Cloud Solution Architect – Cloud & AI Data Platform

with deep knowledge in data platforms and analytics to support customers in building secure, scalable, and AI-ready solutions on Microsoft Azure. In this customer-facing role, you’ll guide organizations through their data modernization and AI journeys—leading architectural design sessions, proof-of-concept initiatives, and production deployments for mission-critical workloads. Your focus will be on ensuring performance, resiliency, and security across solutions that drive measurable business value. As a key member of the Cloud & AI Data Platform team, you’ll use established repeatable IP and execution frameworks to deliver high-quality outcomes and accelerate solution adoption. Operates according to required operational excellence and proven practice standards throughout all sales stages/activities/tools of record with minimal guidance from more experienced peers. Collaborates across Microsoft and customer/partner teams to achieve customer/partner objectives and increase satisfaction. Contributes to managing business and technical risks and ensures alignment with business priorities and goals. Identifies and mitigates blockers to accelerate solution deployment and value realization. Continuously develops business, technical, industry, and/or enterprise knowledge and applies it to architecture or support projects. Identifies new opportunities for Consumption, Usage & Unified expansion at scale based on business value and Microsoft’s value proposition. Engages with customers/partners to shape architectures and solutions that improve security, resilience, and AI capabilities. Captures opportunities in appropriate systems and drives them with cross-organizational collaboration. Delivers solutions in line with company methodologies (e.g., value-based deliverables, training, technical validation) and guides customers toward well-architected, secure, AI-enabled, cost- and performance-optimized solutions to increase retention and expansion opportunities. Focuses on customer/partner experience through efficient delivery and a seamless, connected experience. Understands customer goals and defines success conditions. Addresses dissatisfaction and contributes to strategies that improve experience and value realization. Translates customer problems into industry solutions aligned with Microsoft strategy and demonstrates how they meet outcomes and ROI goals. Builds relationships with technical decision makers and bridges to business decision makers. Supports engagement with stakeholders on security, compliance, and risk requirements. Provides feedback to Engineering and Product teams, identifies patterns, and contributes to strategic insights that guide roadmaps and improvements. Gains insight into market opportunities and guides partners in developing offerings, solutions, and practices. Delivers technical enablement and supports initial customer implementations. Identifies opportunities aligned with revenue goals. Supports growth of solution utilization with partners by addressing blockers in deals and providing pre-sales assistance. Technical Leadership

Demonstrates technical readiness and supports upskilling within the team. May mentor and lead readiness activities. Participates in virtual teams and external events to share knowledge and promote Microsoft solutions. Contributes to IP development and scalable, repeatable models. Identifies gaps in delivery, communicates them to stakeholders, and connects gaps to drive product and process improvements. Other

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 2+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, or consulting OR equivalent experience Experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience. Other Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 8+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, or consulting OR Master’s Degree in same fields OR equivalent experience 6+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience 4+ years experience in a customer-facing role 4+ years experience working on technical projects Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google) or security certifications Cloud Solution Architecture: IC3 – The typical base pay range for this role in the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There are location-based variations (San Francisco Bay Area and NYC): USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year. Cloud Solution Architecture: IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role in the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There are location-based variations (San Francisco Bay Area and NYC): USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
