SAIC is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven
Solutions Architect AI/ML . The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in cloud architecture, data architecture, data analytics, data modeling, machine learning, natural language processing, security, artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies in cloud native environments. This role supports an emerging technologies lab and collaborates with product teams to migrate, modernize, automate, and innovate applications. Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain an innovation lab for ideation, design, and engineering of cloud native product modernization and innovation using emerging technologies. Develop end-to-end plans for AI/ML/NLP innovations compliant with USPTO cybersecurity policies and Zero-Trust Architecture. Architect, develop, build and deploy pilots, prototypes, and proofs of concept across major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). Develop, build, and deploy automation, CI/CD pipelines, scripts, and infrastructure from the ground up using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation). Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures. Implement transparency, traceability, and security in line with best practices and compliance standards including Authorization To Operate. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate needs into technical solutions. Design and implement predictive models, ML algorithms, and statistical analyses to solve business problems. Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure for AI/ML/NLP model development, training/re-training, and deployments. Conduct exploratory data analysis and generate actionable insights from large datasets. Develop data management and data governance plans. Document reusable code libraries, SOPs and best practices for modernization, automation, and deployment. Stay current with cloud architecture, data science, ML, and AI research including open-source LLMs and AI advancements. Mentor developers and data scientists and guide the team in adopting new technologies. Support Agile product teams as a cloud, emerging technologies, and solutions architect SME across multiple projects. Analyze data usage to identify patterns and solutions to business challenges; present recommendations clearly based on architecture best practices. Qualifications
Required Qualifications Masters' degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in data science, analytics, ML, AI or similar roles. Proven track record of delivering AI/ML/NLP innovations in a cloud native environment. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance per USPTO regulations. Candidates must have lived in the United States for the last 2 years. Technology Stack & Skills Programming Languages: Python, R, SQL AI/ML/NLP frameworks, tools, and models ML & Statistical Tools: PyTorch Data manipulation & analysis Visualization: Tableau, Power BI Big Data & Cloud: Hadoop, Hive, AWS (S3, SageMaker, Redshift), Azure, GCP Version Control & Collaboration: Git, Docker Infrastructure: AWS primarily, plus Azure and Google Cloud DevSecOps, CI/CD tooling: Rally, Git/GitLab, SonarQube, Nexus AI/ML platforms: SageMaker, Bedrock, OpenAI, Gemini, Vertex AI; MLOps with MLFlow; Databricks on AWS Desired Qualifications Experience with MLOps, model monitoring, and deployment pipelines Familiarity with NLP, computer vision, or deep learning techniques Compensation Target salary range $160,001 - $200,000.
