Overview
Sr. Worldwide Specialist Solutions Architect, In-Memory Database, Data & AI GTM role at Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise, able to address advanced concepts and feature designs. SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve. They craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges, guiding customers as they refactor applications or design new cloud-based systems. Within the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO), this role is part of the Worldwide Specialist Team and serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designing In-Memory architectures leveraging AWS services. The role involves working with the Database Services team, Business Development and Sales to enable large-scale customer use cases and drive adoption and revenue of AWS. You will develop whitepapers, blogs, reference architectures, and presentations to enable customers and partners to leverage AWS services, and create field enablement materials for the broader SA population. Responsibilities
Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap. Provide advanced technical knowledge to domain-aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers largest and most critical business challenges. Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events (e.g., AWS Summit, AWS re:Invent). Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives. Develop and support an internal AWS community of technical subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials to help the broader SA population understand how to integrate AWS solutions into customer architectures. Basic Qualifications
5+ years design and implementation experience with NoSQL technologies and key-value stores (e.g., ElastiCache, Aerospike, Redis, Memcached), including NoSQL data modeling. 3+ years software architecture and development experience using languages such as Java, Python, Go, and Node.js. A degree in computer science, software engineering, or mathematics or 10 years equivalent work experience. Knowledge of underlying infrastructure requirements (Networking, Storage, Hardware Optimization). Demonstrated effectiveness working across multiple business units to achieve results. Understanding of computing deployment models as they relate to databases and analytics. Working knowledge of modern software development practices (Agile, DevOps). Preferred Qualifications
History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises. Deep knowledge of and experience with Redis. Strong written and verbal communication skills with comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers. Hands-on experience with services related to databases, particularly AWS offerings such as Aurora, Lambda, ElastiCache, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, S3, EC2, Kinesis, etc. AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise.
