Job Title: Project Manager
Location: San Francisco, CA Company: Brice Builders LLC (partnered with iHire) Salary: Regular pay range $150,000 - $180,000 per year Overview
Brice Builders specializes in Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization (SRM) of Military and Medical Facilities, vertical and horizontal construction for telecom, commercial and institutional facilities, and support of disaster relief programs. They also perform assembly of modular or prefabricated buildings. The Project Manager will work onsite in San Francisco and assume profit, loss and growth responsibilities for projects with federal clients (e.g., USACE, USAF) and direct costs, schedule, and technical aspects of the project. Business development for current and future contracts is expected with support from management. Responsibilities
Coordinate all aspects of assigned projects including estimating, bidding, reporting, client interface, timeline, and day-to-day oversight; specifically: Develop proposals, cost estimates, and bids. Provide oversight of the submittal and approval process. Prepare, monitor, and review plans, reports, permits, requests for information, and design change/variance requests. Provide oversight for procurement and scheduling of necessary materials and resources such as equipment, team members, and subcontractors. Determine labor requirements; select, hire, and oversee the work done by subcontractors; oversee the delivery of materials, tools, and equipment; ensure resources are used efficiently; obtain necessary licenses or permits; supervise planning of design and/or construction work; ensure accuracy of project team analyses of drawings, specifications, schedule, environmental requirements, and quality expectations. Analyze project profitability, revenue, and margins; prepare project budget and track time and expenses to budget. Serve as a point of contact for clients; code and determine payment of all project-related invoices and timesheets. Prepare periodic progress reports outlining materials used, costs, and work schedule adjustments. Oversee documentation and retention of information related to project start-up, commissioning, contracts, completion reports, as-built documentation, and project close-out. Oversee progress at work sites; may require multi-day visits and/or overnight stays. Monitor compliance with applicable municipal, state, and federal regulations; ensure project reporting (safety, daily updates, photos, timecards, etc.) is accurate. Ensure project milestones are completed on schedule; manage contract administration including change orders and modifications. Participate in staff hiring and recruiting; collaborate with Brice Builders’ management team for business development. Direct the work of project staff including project engineer, superintendent, quality control manager, and safety manager; serve as an organizational resource for project questions, best practices, and industry standards. Seek and participate in development and training opportunities; participate in periodic management meetings; perform other duties as directed. Ensure projects are executed safely according to Brice Builders policy, contract, and specifications. Travel up to 20% of the time for work-related purposes as needed. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of construction project management principles, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and compliance. Familiarity with municipal, state, and federal regulations and permitting processes; technical knowledge of field construction concepts and procedures; standard operating practices in construction and building industries; knowledge of USACE, USAF, and Army contexts. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and project management software; knowledge of procurement rules and cost-to-completion projections. Excellent analytical and forecasting skills; strong budgeting capabilities and ability to read/understand complex contract documents and construction plans/specifications. Strong communication and interpersonal skills: internal/external written, graphical, and verbal communication; presentations; negotiation; collaboration across departments; effective follow-up. Ability to work productively under pressure; strong time management and organizational abilities; ability to build relationships with customers and organizations. Ability to travel for work-related purposes (up to 20%). Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related business discipline. Fifteen or more years of related project management experience including budget preparation, cost estimating, and fiscal management. Prior USACE experience required. Valid state driver’s license and eligibility to operate a vehicle per Brice Builders policy. Ability to pass drug, driving record, and background screening. Preferred Qualifications
PMP certification preferred. Working Environment
