RaceTrac . Job Description As the General Manager, you will be responsible for driving profitability for one RaceTrac store and leading up to 45 employees. You will continually deliver on RaceTrac’s mission of making people’s lives simpler and more enjoyable through a focus on friendly service, food execution, cleanliness, building talent, and driving success. Responsibilities

Establish an environment of prompt, efficient, and courteous service and effectively engage in conflict management Friendly:
Lead and direct positive and professional relationships with co-workers, direct reports, guests, and vendors Friendly:

Manage and mitigate any reported guest concerns on designated shifts with a sense of urgency and involve appropriate regional team members as needed Friendly:
Efficiently complete guest transactions at the cash register or self-checkout stations and suggest products that complement purchases Food:
Drive excellence in food service by executing designed processes, implementing goals to increase sales and margin, ensuring product quality, and using training resources Food:
Ensure all food offers are available; ensure preparation areas and equipment are clean and properly maintained Clean:

Direct, monitor, and adhere to all RaceTrac, federal, state, and local safety-related regulations, including food safety regulations Clean:
Execute shift duties, maintain overall presentation standards, and represent the RaceTrac brand Building Talent:

Lead the coaching, training, and assessment of direct reports while adhering to operational standards Driving Success:
Strategically direct control of inventory and the distribution of materials, merchandise, and supplies Driving Success:
Review financial statements, sales, analysis reports, and other performance data to measure productivity Driving Success:
Actively identify areas of operational improvements based on market trends Driving Success:
Develop and maintain a relationship with vendors to ensure efficient and correct deliveries Driving Success:
Ensure communication is passed to every team member in the store Driving Success:
Use company provided tools to coach, mentor and develop a high performing store team Driving Success:
Ensure all risk management issues are in compliance with company standards Driving Success:
Create or approve Management and Associate schedules to ensure proper staffing levels for expected sale volumes, while taking team member availability, payroll, and overtime costs into consideration Driving Success:
Own staffing in store by providing timely feedback on interviews to the recruiting team Driving Success:
Engage in the hiring of all store associates; develops managers to understand RaceTrac hiring processes and participate in hiring decisions Driving Success:
Write, implement, and monitor manager development and performance plans Driving Success:
Ensure proper procedures are followed in regards to hiring, promotions and separations Driving Success:
Ensure all team members follow policies and company standards at all times Driving Success:
Ensures that all team members have correct valid licenses as required by state or local laws Driving Success:
Have complete understanding of budget and cost trends that impact operations; proactively work to drive sales and overall financial health of the store Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED in progress or completed 5+ years of prior food service, retail, or restaurant supervisory experience; retail management experience preferred Previous experience working in high-volume, guest-focused, transactional environment preferred Knowledge and skills in analyzing overall financial performance of the store including profit and loss statements High School Diploma or GED completion or (actively working on it) required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Proven knowledge of Labor Laws and staffing best practices Can lift up to 50 pounds and repeatedly bend, stand, and reach while on the job Must obtain and maintain Manager Food Handler certification May be required to obtain and maintain alcohol server permit, based on local or state requirements All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment with RaceTrac without regard to their race, national origin, religion, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by local, state, or federal laws, rules, or regulations.
