Overview
Software Development Engineer, Backend, Customer Support & Claims at Tesla. The role is part of the Tesla Insurance Claims Application team, focusing on the development of Web Apps and backend distributed systems that support service workflows for Vehicle, Insurance Claims and Energy products. The candidate will build and maintain full stack applications with user interfaces built in Angular, React and Typescript and powered by backend services. The role involves working closely with end users, contributing to extensible design systems and open-source quality solutions to create scalable applications. What To Expect

You will contribute to design systems that enable scalable, maintainable experiences and work with open-source quality solutions to deliver reliable, performant applications. Responsibilities
Contribute to the complete software development lifecycle for applications, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet high-quality standards Design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications using .NET, C#, Angular/React and TypeScript Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, service engineers, other software engineers) to define and implement features that enhance operational efficiency for customers Ensure web applications integrate with backend distributed systems and support real-time monitoring, control, and reporting Contribute to the definition and implementation of extensible design systems that prioritize scalability and maintainability Implement testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end) to ensure reliability and performance under various conditions Maintain and promote team values (engineering excellence, curiosity, bias for action, self-awareness, inclusivity, vulnerability) to foster a positive culture Drive initiatives from concept to completion, including defining business needs with product experts, conducting user interviews, and delivering feature implementations Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on developing and delivering user-centric web applications using C#, .NET; Angular/React and TypeScript experience are a plus Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on robust, reliable, and efficient solutions Enthusiasm for staying at the forefront of technology trends and continuous learning, particularly in renewable energy and sustainable technologies Commitment to team values and inclusive, collaborative work culture Benefits
