Northrop Grumman is seeking Principal/Sr Principal Software Engineers (AHT) to join the Global C2 Solutions Business Unit in Huntsville, AL. Relocation assistance is not available. Clearance type is Secret; travel up to 10% may be required.

The selected candidates will design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. They will conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with systems engineers and/or hardware engineers in planning, design, and development. They will determine computer user needs, analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepare operating instructions; and ensure software standards are met.
Basic Qualifications
Principal level: 5 years with Bachelors in STEM; 3 years with Masters; 1 year with PhD
Sr Principal level: 8 years with Bachelors in STEM; 6 years with Masters; 4 years with PhD
Active Secret Security Clearance, or ability to obtain Secret Clearance
Experience developing software using Java
Experience developing software using C++
Experience developing software on Linux
Experience managing source code using Git, GitHub, or GitLab
Understanding of all phases of software development, and practical experience in an Agile/DevOps environment

Salary ranges: Primary Level $105,400.00 – $158,000.00; Secondary Level $131,100.00 – $196,700.00. The above ranges are general guidelines; actual offers depend on scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, and market conditions. Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply. Long Term Incentives may be available for certain roles.
