The Lead DevOps Engineer serves as a leader and hands-on technical expert, driving the implementation and scaling of DevSecOps practices across the Bank’s technology landscape. This role partners with IT Delivery Teams to ensure code, services, and products transition from development through deployment and into production. You will design scalable CI/CD pipelines, embed security into the software development lifecycle, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. You’ll guide cross-functional teams toward modern engineering practices, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation, standardization, and automation, while mentoring teams and championing DevSecOps principles. Enhancing Automation and Efficiency: Build and manage CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure provisioning, and ensure seamless integration and deployment to improve efficiency and time-to-market. Strengthening Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with performance, security, availability, and recoverability standards. Fostering Innovation and Collaboration: Drive DevSecOps adoption across Agile product delivery teams, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate to design and deploy innovative solutions. What You Can Expect
Set up CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment to Cloud environments with medium to high complexity. Strategic role focused on scaling DevOps practices within an enterprise. Supervise, design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines. Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration. Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment. Implement security best practices and ensure compliance. Identify system and process risks and implement improvements. Develop, implement, and support test automation for CI/CD. Develop metrics and dashboards to monitor adoption and maturity of DevSecOps. Expertise with containerization (Docker, Podman) and orchestration via AWS EKS. Develop and mature the Bank’s SDLC aligned with Agile, DevSecOps, and platform standards. Embed shift-left security practices using tools like Checkmarx, SonarQube, PrismaCloud. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to software delivery teams and junior engineers. Contribute to architecture discussions around technology controls in a DevSecOps/Cloud environment. Collaborate with architecture, security and delivery teams to design, code, deploy and support software components. Support DevSecOps culture across Agile teams and liaison with Delivery teams for Azure DevOps configurations. What You’ll Bring
7+ years of software engineering and DevOps experience. 7+ years in SCRUM/Agile software development. Experience deploying and administering CI tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus, or Bamboo). Cloud tooling experience (Terraform, Docker/Podman, Helm).
Experience with SAST tools (Checkmarx) and code quality tools (SonarQube). Experience with automated testing in CI/CD. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; Computer Science or related field preferred. Strong AWS cloud engineering experience. Terraform, Ansible, and/or Chocolaty for infrastructure automation. Containerization with Docker/Podman and orchestration with AWS EKS. GitHub Copilot configuration and administration. Programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash. APM tools such as Datadog and SolarWinds. Experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban, project management and workflows. Cross-platform scripting and build tooling (Python, Artifactory, MS Build, NuGet). OO Java/C#-style development experience and secure, scalable CI/CD design. Strong communication and presentation skills; able to explain standards, processes, and cloud architecture to teams and management. The Perks
