Business Analyst / Scrum Master role at Steampunk, Inc. We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst / Scrum Master with an appetite for taking on new challenges and serving as the team lead for a major mission system. Responsibilities
A Scrum Master must have experience managing Agile/Information Technology related projects and be well versed in software development life cycle and project management methodologies. Scrum Master will oversee scrum team for key high-priority project for the client. Identify and mitigate risks; work with key stakeholders/customers to support planning and delivery of technical IT development Agile projects. Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects. Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for commitments; remove roadblocks; leverage organizational resources to improve capacity; and mentor and develop team members. Support managing customer expectations for project deliverables, manage stakeholder communications, and help implement an effective system of project governance. Ensure teams are effective and focused on their work; coach teams in understanding the delivery process, the agile mindset, and client values. Help the team use time wisely and avoid distractions; escalate and resolve team issues as needed. As a Business Analyst, lead the collection, capture, and management of mission user needs from prioritization, concept development, and feature writing to support development and deployment. Facilitate meetings and workshops, create shared understanding with stakeholders, and engage team members to produce product and portfolio roadmaps. Collaborate with stakeholders and product teams to decompose large epics into features and user stories understandable and approvable by the development team. Document acceptance criteria in stories so both development team and business stakeholders can understand and agree on content. Qualifications
Authorized to work for any U.S. employer 4+ year experience with Scrum/Kanban Methodologies 4+ Years experience serving as the Product Owner or Scrum Master or Business Analyst Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence Ability to help teams write user stories/epics, identify dependencies, and design optimal solutions Flexibility to work with teams, individuals and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people Excellent interpersonal/communication skills Experience working in a studio / human centered design approach PMP preferred CSM, PSM, and/or SAFe certification required About Steampunk
Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $150,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
