Director, Business & Legal Affairs , you'll provide substantive business affairs and legal assistance to Concord Theatricals. Responsibilities

Draft and negotiate new and renewal agreements for Concord Theatricals, including but not limited to: new title acquisition agreements, renewal agreements for current titles, cast album and other theatrical album agreements, complex production license agreements, orchestrator agreements, supplemental materials and clearance agreements, and vendor contracts. Provide analysis and advice, including contract interpretation and compliance questions, to Concord Theatricals departments including Licensing, Publications, Marketing, Finance, and Operations. Provide assistance with managing rights agreements across the Concord Theatricals catalog, including review and analysis of rights agreements. Qualifications

Juris Doctor degree and member in good standing of the New York State bar required. Minimum 3+ years’ experience working as a practicing attorney. In-depth knowledge of theater industry practices and related agreements, terms and conditions; ability to understand, interpret, negotiate and draft contractual agreements. Work experience in the theater industry preferred. Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills. Knowledge of U.S. copyright law, customary music publishing and cast recording business practices. Good business judgment and strong interpersonal skills; comfortable working with lawyers and non-lawyers alike. Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access) and internet-savvy; detail-oriented with ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated and adaptable; ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to handle and safeguard highly confidential information.
