We are hiring a highly experienced Principal Regulatory Affairs Specialist to oversee regulatory affairs activities for US consumer product categories. This leadership role covers product development compliance, ingredient and labeling reviews, packaging regulations, safety data sheets, inspections, and consumer regulatory inquiries. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Legal, QA, Manufacturing, and Product Development), ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while also driving innovation, sustainability, and product safety. Own regulatory affairs activities for assigned US product categories. Ensure compliance across labeling, product development, packaging, SDS, ingredient statements, and efficacy claims. Provide regulatory guidance to Marketing, Legal, QA, Product Development, and Manufacturing teams. Support regulatory inspections, recalls, and product reviews by agencies. Develop compliance-focused processes and procedures to streamline regulatory oversight. Stay informed on emerging US and global regulations, toxicology research, and their impact on consumer products. Prepare and present clear updates/reports to senior leadership and stakeholders. Manage workload efficiently, prioritize complex compliance tasks, and mentor cross-functional stakeholders. Qualifications
10+ years’ experience in regulatory affairs, preferably in consumer products / healthcare / FMCG. Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Regulatory Science, Public Health, Business Administration, Law, or related science discipline. Strong knowledge of US FDA, EPA, FTC and CPSC regulations for consumer products. Project management skills – able to lead cross-functional regulatory initiatives. Excellent communication skills (both written & oral) with ability to present to senior executives SAP experience strongly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams. Strong collaborator and stakeholder manager with a business-partner mindset.
