Responsibilities
Lead thorough evaluations of telecommunication projects to determine electrical needs and specifications
Collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to collect essential information for precise estimate preparation
Identify potential project risks and propose strategies to minimise or mitigate those risks
Analyse internal company data to support the accuracy of electrical cost estimates
Prepare detailed estimates covering materials, labour, and equipment expenses for electrical installations
Review electrical drawings and plans to inform and validate cost projections
Utilise computer estimating tools such as Accubid and Bluebeam to assist in developing reliable electrical cost forecasts
Skills/Must have
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar or related role
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred but not mandatory
Ability to pass background and drug screenings upon hire, as this role is safety-sensitive and based on a military installation
Familiarity with Accubid software for estimating purposes
Willingness to travel outside Washington State for bid opportunities
Proven track record in electrical estimating for commercial and government projects
Experience working on government electrical projects is essential
Solid knowledge of electrical telecommunications construction or infrastructure project management principles
Experience with design-build project delivery methods
Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) along with relevant local electrical regulations
