Domestic Violence Specialist II - Honolulu Domestic Violence Advocacy (Part-time) at Child & Family Service (CFS). Summary Of Duties
The DV Specialist II is primarily responsible for providing direct services to TANF and TANOF participants experiencing barriers to self-sufficiency due to domestic violence. Services include assessment, service planning, and supportive services. The DV Specialist II helps link participants with community services and supports progress toward self-sufficiency (work, school, or related activities). Education And Training Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or any relevant behavioral health field. Other requirements include basic knowledge in a specialized or technical field (e.g., social work, psychology, business administration, etc.). Experience
Two to four years of relevant experience, with two years of work in domestic violence or a related field. Special Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Direct services to high-risk clients in domestic violence situations; trauma-informed care knowledge preferred. Facilitate groups for survivors; conduct intakes and assessments; provide support to victims of various forms of abuse. Maintain professional boundaries and detailed case files; strong communications and organizational skills; awareness of community resources. Other Position Requirements
Valid Hawaii driver’s license, clean driving record, and willingness to travel as needed. Criminal background check required; continued employment contingent on clear record. Successful completion of CPR, CPI and/or van driving training as needed to perform essential functions. Successful completion of CPI classes or other Behavioral Management certification as contract-mandated. Successful completion of First Aid classes. Salary
$25.03 per hour Senioritiy level
