About the Role We’re hiring an Editorial Director to run our newsletter properties, including Thesis Driven and The Buy Box. This is a senior role with substantial creative control, where you will shape the voice, direction, and editorial strategy of our publications. You will work directly with Thesis Driven partners Brad Hargreaves and Paul Stanton, collaborating on editorial vision while executing with independence.
You’ll be responsible for generating compelling ideas, ensuring top-quality writing and editing, and understanding what drives both readership and paid subscriptions. Your work will sit at the intersection of real estate, capital markets, and technology—translating complex industry dynamics into content that our high-level audience can’t get anywhere else.
A Typical Week Might Include
Writing or editing high-impact letters for Thesis Driven or The Buy Box
Planning upcoming editorial calendars and special series
Working with guest writers to bring stories to life
Interviewing industry leaders for feature letters
Analyzing subscriber data to refine editorial strategy
Experimenting with new formats, tools, and distribution channels
Qualifications
Exceptional writing and editing skills , with a track record of producing high-quality, insightful work
Deep understanding of real estate and capital markets —you can read financial models, speak to different investment structures, and follow policy changes without a learning curve
Strong editorial judgment and intuition for what readers value and will pay for
Curiosity about emerging technologies and how they shape the built environment
Collaborative, creative, and entrepreneurial mindset
Ability to work independently, take feedback well, and thrive in a fast-moving environment
