As a Senior Avionics Electrical Engineer, you will design and test custom circuit boards and other avionics devices, mentor less experienced engineers, set high standards, and guide the technical direction of the avionics team. You will work directly with software engineers, propulsion engineers, GNC engineers, and others. You will have the opportunity to contribute to all aspects of spacecraft electronics development, from architecting new systems to building and operating them. Responsibilities

Contribute to new spacecraft avionics architecture trades Develop circuit boards for spacecraft, with an emphasis on digital electronics Perform rigorous analyses and simulations of avionics devices and systems Perform development testing of hardware in the lab, from a single circuit board to an entire system including non-avionics elements Own hardware through qualification and flight operations Establish and maintain high technical standards and mentor less experienced engineers Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 4+ years professional experience designing digital electronics for rockets, spacecraft, or other vehicles Proficiency with electronics component selection, analysis, simulation, schematics, and layout Knowledge of digital circuit design concepts including signal integrity, timing, etc. Experience troubleshooting electronics problems at the board level or system level Desire to improve team processes and train other team members Ability to communicate technical challenges, explain rationale and/or resolve concerns Preferred Skills and Experience

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Experience with Altium Designer Experience doing new development work for processors, FPGAs, DSPs, cameras, ethernet switches, or other spacecraft-related areas Experience designing high speed digital interfaces such as DDR4/5, PCIe, RGMII/SGMII, Ethernet Experience in a startup or agile development environment Additional Information

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.
