Job Overview The Global Media and Insights Services Procurement Director leads our media services procurement efforts. This role is pivotal in optimizing insights and analytics, marketing and media investment, driving cost efficiencies, and ensuring compliance with sourcing. The director has a deep understanding of the global media landscape, strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record of leading procurement teams across divisions.
Strategy in Five Dimensions The Director of Global Media and Insights Services Procurement will be responsible for setting the overall strategy for sourcing Marketing, Media and Insights services globally, with focus on:
Translating new requirements from service, volatility, cost transparency, sustainability and growth objectives for the company.
Optimizing the commercial services categories to mitigate financial and operational risks.
Enabling new capability sourcing requirements for growth, including agencies for media, creative and design and optimizing use of consultants.
Updating the digital roadmap critical to assessing spend, commitments, supplier risk and contract gaps.
Continually evaluating existing business processes and identifying BPO opportunities.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive global media services procurement strategy aligned with business objectives.
Lead the procurement process for all media services, including advertising, marketing, digital media, and public relations.
Negotiate contracts with media agencies, publishers, and vendors to secure optimal terms and pricing.
Manage vendor relationships, ensuring performance, quality, and compliance with contractual agreements.
Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities and innovative solutions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, finance, and legal teams, to ensure alignment and efficient procurement processes.
Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
Manage and mentor a team of media procurement professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and performance metrics to senior management.
Keep informed about the latest industry trends, new technologies, and optimal strategies in media services procurement.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
10+ years of experience in media services procurement
Significant experience in a leadership role managing internal and external stakeholders
Proven track record of negotiating complex contracts and achieving cost savings
Deep understanding of the global media landscape and industry trends
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in procurement software and tools
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Skills
Excellent communication abilities
Strong leadership and team management skills
Proficient in conducting market research and benchmarking
Skilled in contract negotiation and achieving favorable terms
Ability to develop and implement effective procurement strategies
Experience in managing and optimizing vendor relationships
Deep understanding of the global media landscape, strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record of leading procurement teams
Compensation and Benefits Salary Range $185,000.00 - $200,000.00 USD. Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
