This position is responsible for renewing and growing a book of business that includes complex accounts with indemnity and managed care medical products, ancillary/specialty products, and life products. It drives revenue and manages current and prospective relationships to ensure product success. It leads sales initiatives and strategies within the assigned territory and achieves sales and profitability objectives by effectively managing new and existing accounts. Responsibilities

Ensure that each assigned account renews annually and pursue growth within groups by developing and implementing account-specific benefit and financial strategies. Manage and develop a set of assigned accounts to increase productivity and sales of products; identify potential customers and set approach strategies. Develop strong and long-term client relationships. Take ownership of territory and team initiatives and ensure deadlines are met. Resolve issues and handle client complaints quickly and effectively. Gather feedback and suggest ways to increase customer engagement. Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field OR, in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience beyond the required work experience. Licenses/Certifications:

Current health and life license for the jurisdictions of Maryland, DC, and Virginia. Upon Hire Required. Experience:

8 years of sales/healthcare experience. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a similar sales position with a competitor or another Blue Cross Blue Shield plan is preferred. TPA experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge and understanding of CRM and other client management tools. Strong customer service orientation. Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers with a focus on service excellence. Salary and Travel

Salary Range:

$89,600 - $145,600 Travel:

Estimated 80% travel to see clients and prospective clients. Salary Range Disclaimer:
