VP of Marketing
for
Sinch Mailgun , you will lead the strategic marketing vision to accelerate growth for our SaaS product through both
product-led growth (PLG)
and
demand generation
for our
mid-market and enterprise
segments. Your key focus areas will be on driving
self-service revenue growth , building brand awareness, and generating high-quality leads for our sales teams across global regions. You will work closely with Sinch's central marketing operations, regional field marketing teams, product, and sales to deliver impactful marketing campaigns and foster long-term customer engagement. Responsibilities Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for Mailgun, aimed at scaling product-led growth (PLG) revenue and supporting mid-market to enterprise sales objectives. Brand positioning and messaging: Drive Mailgun's brand positioning, messaging, and voice to resonate with different customer segments, ensuring alignment across all marketing initiatives. Growth opportunities: Identify growth opportunities and industry trends to guide decision-making and refine marketing plans in collaboration with Sinch's central and regional teams. Cross-functional collaboration: Partner closely with the central marketing operations team to leverage shared resources, best practices, and tools, ensuring consistency and efficiency in marketing execution across regions. Product-Led Growth (PLG) and Self-Service Revenue: Build and optimize self-service acquisition funnels to drive signups, trials, and conversions directly through digital channels; develop and oversee lifecycle marketing campaigns to increase engagement, reduce churn, and maximize LTV; collaborate with the product leader to integrate product updates and customer feedback into marketing strategies that drive in-product engagement and feature adoption; design and execute content strategies, SEO, and digital advertising efforts focused on self-service acquisition and user retention. Demand Generation for Mid-Market and Enterprise: Lead integrated marketing campaigns to generate high-quality leads; partner with regional field marketing teams to execute ABM programs, establish lead-scoring models, and ensure effective MQL-to-SQL handoffs; develop thought leadership content, events, and webinars to engage enterprise decision-makers, enhancing ABM effectiveness by regional teams. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team, foster alignment with the product leader, and partner with central and regional teams to ensure unified execution across touchpoints; set clear goals, KPIs, and metrics and report performance to senior leadership. Data-Driven Optimization and Innovation: Implement data-driven approaches to analyze campaigns and funnels; test new channels and growth tactics; promote a culture of experimentation with A/B testing and iteration. Requirements Experience: 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles in SaaS or technology marketing. Expertise in PLG and Demand Generation: Proven success in scaling product-led growth models and demand generation strategies within a SaaS or similar environment. Data-Driven Approach: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies. Leadership Skills: Experience leading diverse, high-performing marketing teams, with a track record of collaboration across product, sales, and central marketing operations functions. Digital Marketing Proficiency: Hands-on experience in digital marketing channels including SEO, SEM, content marketing, and lifecycle marketing.
